Blue Sky Balloons Policies

Gift Certificates:

Our company only accepts Blue Sky Balloons and Soaring Adventures Balloon Ride Certificates.

We understand that our company may be on other lists published by other nationwide sellers/brokers of balloon ride certificates. It is without our permission and a deception. We are a local company and we sell balloon rides directly to the customer or use an established reputable broker. We believe in nurturing a relationship with you, not your wallet. We are happy to refer you to a local balloon company in areas we do not serve.

Our gift certificates are issued with an expiration date. If you have a gift certificate that may expire before you can use it, contact us regarding an extension. The certificates are transferable but not refundable.

Pricing:

Our rate is $195 per person. This is our lowest possible rate. We do not offer any discounts for quantity, age, children, etc. We make every effort to provide you with the safest most enjoyable flight at a reasonable price.

Children:

Many people ask what the minimum age is. We have no set policy but we do have plenty of experience, and from that we have a strong recommendation; as precocious as your children may be, rarely do those under seven years old appreciate the experience and they often get quickly bored and detract from the enjoyment of everyone else. This is not like television, with new things happening every ten seconds. If necessary wait a few years; we’ll still be here.

Cancellations:

If we cancel a flight for weather or any reason within our control there are no charges. Because this is a weather-dependent activity rescheduling is sometimes required. No show passengers or cancellations within 2 days prior to the scheduled flight will forfeit any deposit or other forms of payment unless their reserved space can be filled by other passengers

Flight Time:

Because there are prudent reasons, primarily safety, that the pilot may elect to make the final landing before the scheduled one hour flight duration has elapsed, our policy is to provide a full refund for any flight of less than one half-hour. Once the minimum half-hour is flown no further adjustments will be made. The flight, post flight pack up, and return trip to the farm, will consume 2 to 2 ½ hours from launch time.

Passenger Health:

Our insurance carrier will not allow us to knowingly fly anyone who is pregnant. We have, and will continue to, find a way to accommodate people’s disabilities so they can enjoy this adventure. Please openly discuss any physical conditions that you have that might need special arrangements. We must decline a flight to anyone who we believe cannot safely accomplish it. Federal law prohibits us from flying anyone who is intoxicated so reserve the partying untill after the flight.

Release of liability and assumption of risk agreement:

An insurance industry wide policy, not related to our history or the safety of balloon flying in general requires us to get a signed waiver from each passenger. We have operated in a safe and responsible manner for many years and through no personal actions or omissions on our part must comply with this requirement. Below is a copy of the agreement you will be required to sign prior to a flight.

Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement

Notice: By signing this agreement, you are forever releasing and waving your rights to make a claim for injuries or damages against Blue Sky Balloons, Inc. Read this document carefully before signing.

1. I acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to participate in Hot Air Balloon flights and associated activities to be conducted by Blue Sky Balloons, Inc.

2. I am aware that Hot Air Balloon flight is a potentially hazardous activity. Some of the risks include, but are not limited to, loss of or damage to personal property, arrest for trespassing or other violations of the law, injury or fatality due to capsize of the basket, or other vehicle, collision with obstacles on the ground or in the air, accident or illness in remote places without medical facilities, immersion in water, and hypothermia, falling from a balloon while in the air or on the ground, fire or flame and temperature extremes or inclement weather. I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the danger involved, and I hereby agree to accept and assume any and all risks of injury or death and verify this statement by my initials here: ________ (passenger)

1. I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract between myself and Blue Sky Balloons, Inc., and sign it of my own free will.

Insurance:

We maintain public liability and passenger insurance coverage appropriate to our operations. We have had no passenger injuries in our operational history.

Privacy Policy:

Any and all personal information such as telephone numbers, email or residence address, etc. that we acquire in the course of our dealings will only be used to facilitate our business relationship with you and we will not sell or share that information with anyone else.
